Peshawar/Islamabad/Karachi: 21 February 2022 (National Times)- Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the working relationship between the Awami National Party and the Pakistan Peoples Party gave this country the 18th amendment and NFC award. Whatever we are doing is for making a better Pakistan. He said that at the time of announcement of long march, the President ANP KP, Aimal Wali Khan telephoned and extended his support.

Chairman PPP said this while addressing a joint press conference with Aimal Wali Khan and other leaders of the ANP and the PPP. He said that the workers of both the parties successfully resisted the terrorists. He said that he is pround that his father President Asif Ali Zardari spoke about Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at the United Nations. He said that the PPP government 2008-2013 gave identity to this province by naming it Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said that both the parties are united to send this incompetent and selected government packing.

Responding to questions by the journalists, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that as far as phone calls are concerned none of his party members has received such call. If there is some complaint from any other party then he will ask in the next meeting with them. He said that every institution should work within its own domain and this has been always the stance of the PPP. He said that whenever he goes to any function or meeting the first question people ask that when we are sending this incompetent, illegitimate and selected government home. Chairman Bilawal said that we have to take every measure to challenge this government. This is the fight of every common man in Pakistan who is troubled with the economic policies of this government. The economy is ruined and the labourers and growers are not getting the return of their hard work and crops.

Chair PPP said that protest is a democratic means to destabilise the government. We want to remove an undemocratic government. We are resorting to democratic means because we are not the ones who attack the parliament and the PTV. We always had said that the government could be removed through a no-confidence motion in the Parliament. We the PPP and ANP do not want to leave the field open for the government. We have to win only once but Imran Khan has to win repeatedly to remain in power. If we do not win we will come again and again. This will expose the people that who is with Imran Khan and who is not. He said that the PPP stance is clear from the day one. If PDM march was held in time we could have troubled the government. It is heartening that other opposition parties are coming to our page. We have to convince the government’s allies and their disgruntled members that it is better to get rid of this selected government. It is our credit as the opposition that today the entire nation knows and thinks that the deal with IMF is a PTIMF deal. This is a deal of PTI not Pakistan. The PPP is challenging this government at every forum and we will succeed. Responding a question he said that after this government is removed, the PML-N has the right to have its prime minister and we can all together bring the election reforms and a fresh elections are held. Regarding dams he said if KP is drowned by Kalabagh dam so it is not possible. The PPP has built more dams than any other party and our focus is dams for storing rain water.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that interference from other institutions have always been against the PPP. The PPP has been a victim of these interferences. The PPP never shied away from going to people and contesting elections despite these interferences. If the institutions are neutral then it is not difficult to succeed in passing the no-confidence against this government. Responding a question he said that we have to deal with terrorists who have killed our civilians, women, children, policemen and brave soldiers with iron fist. We have to restore the State’s writ. He said that in this government there could not be coordination among provinces. Responding to the continued imprisonment of Ali Wazir, Chairman PPP said that when he could not get his own speaker and members Parliament out of prison how can he get Ali Wazir out. He said that Ali Wazir should be released.
