PM Imran convenes Apex Committee meeting

ISLAMABAD (National Times) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has convened a special meeting of the Apex Committee to be held today (Friday) in Islamabad, Dunya News reported.

The Prime Minister will preside over the meeting. According to sources, the meeting will be held at the Prime Minister House at 11:00am today and will be attended by federal ministers and high level military officials.

Sources also informed that Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security Dr Moeed Yousaf will give a briefing on issues related to national security during the meeting.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Federal Minister for Defence Pervez Khattak will also brief the Apex Committee meeting.

Sources also revealed that Afghanistan, border management and national security situation will be reviewed during the meeting. Strategies will be chalked out for the defense issues and challenges faced the country.
