Dengue kills another six in Lahore

Lahore(National Times):Dengue fever has killed another six patients and infected 380 more people in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

Punjab Health Secretary Imran Sikandar Baloch said that the total number of infected cases this year in the province has risen to 14,525.

The Health Department anti-dengue teams also discarded larva from 786 places while inspecting 59,471 indoor places and 8,731 outdoor places.

In Gujranwala, another 308 people became victims of the killer dengue including two people who were admitted to the ICU ward of Gujranwala DHQ.

Health department teams were more engaged in anti-corona activities in the district rather than focusing on eliminating dengue mosquitoes.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 237 cases of dengue fever virus were reported in the last 24 hours including 171 in the provincial capital Peshawar taking the tally to 8630.
