Ambassador Rahim Hayat Qureshi Engages Pakistani Community in Antwerp

Antwerp/Belgium (National Times): The Ambassador of Pakistan to the European Union, Belgium and Luxembourg, H.E. Rahim Hayat Qureshi, held an interactive session with members of the Pakistani community in Antwerp on Friday, 12 June 2026.

The gathering brought together a broad cross-section of the Pakistani diaspora, including community leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, students, youth representatives, and families residing across Belgium. The interaction formed part of the Embassy’s continued outreach efforts aimed at strengthening engagement with overseas Pakistanis and reinforcing the enduring bond between Pakistan and its diaspora community.

Welcoming the participants, Ambassador Qureshi expressed appreciation for the valuable contributions made by the Pakistani community towards the socio-economic development of Belgium and for promoting Pakistan’s positive image abroad. He noted that overseas Pakistanis remain an important national asset and serve as effective ambassadors of Pakistan through their professional excellence, cultural engagement, and community leadership.

The Ambassador underlined the importance of building stronger linkages between Pakistan and Europe through the active participation of the diaspora community.

The Ambassador particularly encouraged the younger generation of overseas Pakistanis to continue contributing through education, innovation, entrepreneurship, and cultural diplomacy. He emphasized that the success and achievements of Pakistanis abroad strengthens Pakistan’s global standing and create new opportunities for future generations.

During the interaction, members of the community exchanged views on matters relating to consular facilitation, community welfare, youth engagement, business connectivity, and avenues for expanding Pakistan’s outreach in Belgium.

Ambassador Qureshi assured participants that the Embassy remains fully committed to responsive consular services and maintaining close coordination with the community to address issues of common interest.

Participants appreciated the Embassy’s outreach efforts and welcomed the opportunity for direct engagement and dialogue with the Ambassador.
