Cases against three FIA officials for cheating in promotion exams in Faisalabad

TOBA TEK SINGH(National Times)- Three Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officials have been booked for allegedly cheating in their promotion examinations to the next scale.

After being suspended by the FIA zonal director, the two ASIs and a constable had fled to avoid arrest.

According to details, Faisalabad FIA ASIs Khalil Ahmed and Alam Sher and Constable Azam Kaleem became candidates for promotion to the next scale without requesting NOC from higher authorities.

They also allegedly performed duties as supervisors in the running test of other candidates held at the FDA City.

Their alleged fraud was identified when FIA officials examined the footage of the running test on which the zonal director suspended them.

After the suspension, they reportedly fled to avoid arrest.

On the complaint of FIA Assistant Director Kashif Nazir, three separate cases were registered against the accused officials by the FIA.

ACCIDENT: A Lahore Police ASI died and his wife was critically injured after their car was rear-ended by another car on the M-3 motorway near the Jaranwala Interchange.

Police said ASI Amjad Ali, posted at the Gulberg Police station, was returning to his home in Jaranwala by car.

When he reached near Chak 628 GB Lundianwala, another speeding car coming from behind hit his car.

As a result, Amjad and his wife Surayya Bibi were seriously wounded. They were being shifted to the Jaranwala THQ Hospital but Amjad succumbed to his injuries on the way.
