Islamabad (National Times) Pakistan’s Ambassador to Belgium, Raheem Hayat Qureshi, called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Wednesday to discuss Pakistan’s ongoing engagement with the European Union and avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister reviewed the outcomes of the recent visit of the European Union’s High Representative/Vice-President to Pakistan, which marked a positive step forward in Pakistan-EU relations.
Building on the momentum generated by the visit, Senator Dar directed Ambassador Qureshi to actively follow up on the understandings reached during the high-level engagements and continue efforts to deepen cooperation with the European Union.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the importance of expanding collaboration in key sectors, including trade, investment, education, and people-to-people exchanges. He underscored Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with the EU and exploring new opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation.
