Balochistan CM orders transfer of non-local employees

QUETTA(National Times)- Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has announced that Class-IV employees posted in districts outside their native areas will be transferred back to their respective home districts.

He also stated that investigations into alleged irregularities in the overseas employment programme for youth are underway and that those involved in fraud will be punished.

Responding to a question raised by MPA Maulana Hidayatur Rehman from Gwadar, it was revealed that 19 non-local individuals are currently employed in Class-IV positions in Gwadar.

The chief minister said similar cases had surfaced in several districts of Balochistan, where people from other areas had been appointed to low-grade posts.

He said a formal inquiry was underway and that employees appointed from outside districts would be sent back to their home districts.

“It is unfair that despite the availability of local candidates in Gwadar, positions such as drivers and other low-grade posts have been filled by outsiders,” he added.
