Pakistan reports 29 deaths by coronavirus, 2,253 new cases in one day

LAHORE (Nationaltimesnews) – Pakistan has reported 29 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 607,453. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 13,537 on Monday.According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 2,253 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.Till now 261,411 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 186,659 in Punjab 76,104 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 48,081 in Islamabad, 19,220 in Balochistan, 11,017 in Azad Kashmir and 4,961 in Gilgit-Baltistan.Furthermore 5,769 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,458 in Sindh, 2,159 in KP, 526 in Islamabad, 320 in Azad Kashmir, 202 in Balochistan, and 103 in GB.Pakistan has so far conducted 9,529,763 coronavirus tests and 44,061 in the last 24 hours. 571,878 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 1,823 patients are in critical condition.
