Health card scheme providing free treatment: CM Bugti

QUETTA(National Times)- Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has said that the Balochistan Health Card Programme is ensuring free and quality medical treatment of people in the province and beyond.

Mr Bugti said that under the programme, every citizen’s national identity card serves as his/her health card, making access to healthcare simple and universal.

He said the programme’s network has been extended to include major public and private hospitals not only in Balochistan but also across the country.

According to official figures, 345,000 patients belonging to Balochistan have received treatment under the programme. The chief minister said the provincial government remains committed to further improving healthcare facilities and expanding these services.
