Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi Arrives in Islamabad for Key Talks

Islamabad (National Times) Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has arrived in Islamabad on an official visit, where he is expected to hold important meetings with Pakistan’s top leadership.
According to the Foreign Office, an Iranian delegation led by Araghchi reached Islamabad and was received by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Field Marshal Asim Munir. During the visit, the Iranian foreign minister will meet senior Pakistani officials.
Officials stated that discussions will focus on the regional situation, as well as ongoing efforts for peace and stability.
The Foreign Office further noted that Araghchi will also visit Muscat and Moscow following his trip to Pakistan.
Earlier, the Iranian foreign minister had announced his visits to Islamabad, Muscat, and Moscow, stating that neighboring countries remain a top priority. In a statement posted on X, he said the purpose of these visits is to enhance coordination with partners and consult on regional developments.
Meanwhile, a White House spokesperson confirmed in an interview with US media that an American delegation will also participate in the peace talks. The spokesperson said that Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will depart for Pakistan on Saturday morning for the negotiations.
