Islamabad (National Times) Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, held a telephone conversation today with the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice President, Kaja Kallas.
During the discussion, both leaders expressed deep concern over the recent developments in Iran and the broader Middle East region. The Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister underscored the urgent need for dialogue, diplomacy, and de-escalation to maintain regional peace and stability.
Senator Dar also briefed the High Representative/Vice President on the evolving situation between Pakistan and Afghanistan, highlighting ongoing tensions and Pakistan’s perspective. He appreciated the European Union’s constructive engagement and its continued efforts to promote regional stability.
Both sides agreed to remain in close contact and continue consultations on the evolving regional situation.
