IRGC claims missile strike on Benjamin Netanyahu office using Kheibar Shekan

TEHRAN(National Times)- Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for a missile strike targeting the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In a statement issued through its official news agency Sepah News, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said the attack also targeted the residence of Israeli Air Force Commander Tomer Bar. The IRGC stated that the “surprise strikes” were carried out using domestically manufactured Khaibar Shikan ballistic missiles. It added that Netanyahu’s fate remains unknown and that further details would be released later. The Khaibar Shikan missile was unveiled and test-launched in May 2023. It has a reported range of 2,000 kilometres and is capable of carrying a 1,500-kilogram warhead.
