Pakistan Rejects India’s Disinformation at UN Human Rights Council

Brussels (National Times) Exercising Pakistan’s Right of Reply against India at the United Nations Human Rights Council, First Secretary Adeel Mumtaz Khokhar categorically rejected India’s recycled disinformation and reaffirmed Pakistan’s principled position.
He underscored that Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) remains an internationally recognized disputed territory, and emphasized that no unilateral measures, demographic engineering, or electoral gerrymandering can alter its legal status or deny the inalienable right of the Kashmiri people to self-determination, as enshrined in relevant UN resolutions.
Highlighting the human rights situation, he noted that decades of grave and systematic violations — including repression, arbitrary detentions, prolonged communication blackouts, and the silencing of political voices — have been comprehensively documented by UN human rights mechanisms.
The First Secretary further drew attention to India’s terrorist activities inside Pakistan, as well as its extraterritorial operations and assassinations in multiple countries, stressing that such actions are a matter of record and warrant transparency and accountability under international law.
