PM Shehbaz returns to Islamabad after concluding Qatar visit

ISLAMABAD(National Times)- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif returned to Islamabad on Wednesday after concluding his Qatar tour. During the visit, the prime minister held a meeting with the Amir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. The Qatari leader reaffirmed his commitment to elevating bilateral economic partnership to a higher strategic level and agreed to maintain close coordination on key regional issues. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir were also present during the meeting. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also met with the Prime Minister of Qatar, senior Qatari officials including the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Foreign Trade, as well as a delegation from the Qatar Businessmen Association to discuss avenues for enhancing trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.
