Brussels (National Times) Chairman of the EU-Kashmir Council, Ali Raza Syed, formally presented the recently published book “Kashmir – Wait and See” by acclaimed Belgian photographer Cédric Gerbehaye to Ambassador Rahim Hayat Qureshi at the Embassy Chancery.
The book, authored by Mr. Gerbehaye, offers a compelling visual narrative capturing the human dimension of the situation in Jammu and Kashmir. Through powerful imagery and documentary photography, the publication sheds light on the daily realities and challenges faced by the Kashmiri people.
During the meeting, Chairman Ali Raza Syed highlighted the importance of cultural and artistic initiatives in raising international awareness about Kashmir. He commended Cédric Gerbehaye’s work for portraying the humanitarian aspects of the issue and amplifying the voices of those affected.
Ambassador Rahim Hayat Qureshi appreciated the efforts of the EU-Kashmir Council and acknowledged the significance of the book in drawing global attention to the plight of the Kashmiri people under Indian occupation. He noted that such publications play an important role in fostering informed dialogue and strengthening advocacy efforts at the international level.
