Peer Muhammad Shah restored as DIG Traffic Karachi

KARACHI(National times)- Peer Mohammad Shah has been restored as the DIG Traffic Karachi after he was removed from his position last month following the allegation of traffic mismanagement during Gul Plaza fire incident. An official notification stated the additional charge of DIG Traffic Karachi has been withdrawn from Mazhar Nawaz Shaikh who was appointed after the removal of Shah. Sources said that Peer Mohammad Shah’s removal was a consequence of his failure to manage traffic following the Gul Plaza tragedy. The incident, which involved a devastating fire, resulted in the loss of 79 lives and left over 1,000 shops destroyed.
