Asif Ali Zardari to address joint parliament session on March 2

ISLAMABAD(National times)- The government has decided to convene a joint session of Parliament on March 2 to mark the beginning of the new parliamentary year. According to sources, the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has forwarded a summary to the Prime Minister, who will send it to President Asif Ali Zardari for formal approval. President Zardari will address the joint sitting of Parliament, following which the new parliamentary year of the National Assembly will officially commence. The session is expected to outline the government’s legislative priorities and set the tone for parliamentary proceedings in the coming year.
