Pakistan’s Ambassador Rahim Hayat Qureshi Meets EU Deputy Managing Director for Global Issues to Discuss Enhanced Cooperation

BRUSSELS (National Times) Pakistan’s Ambassador to the European Union, Rahim Hayat Qureshi, held a meeting with Pelayo Castro Zuzuarregui, Deputy Managing Director for Global Issues at the European External Action Service (EEAS), to discuss strengthening cooperation between Pakistan and the European Union across multiple domains.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on enhancing collaboration in multilateral fora, addressing global climate change challenges, and exploring opportunities under the European Union’s Global Gateway initiative.
The discussions reflected the shared commitment of Pakistan and the European Union to deepen engagement on global and regional issues of mutual interest, while expanding cooperation in sustainable development, connectivity, and climate resilience.
Both officials reaffirmed their resolve to continue close coordination to further consolidate Pakistan-EU relations in the evolving global landscape.
