Consultations to elect new AJK president completed: Sardar Tanveer

ISLAMABAD(National times)- Former prime minister of Azad Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Ilyas on Wednesday said that consultations regarding the election of a new president in Azad Kashmir have been completed. He stated that the new president of Azad Kashmir will be elected within the next few days. He said and that the Pakistan People’s Party will nominate its candidate for the position. A decision has also been made to change the Deputy Speaker of the Azad Kashmir Assembly. He further said that the new Deputy Speaker is also likely to be from the Pakistan People’s Party. He said that names for the appointment of the Chief Election Commissioner have been sent to the federal government.
