Pakistan and European Union Sign Tariff Rate Quota Apportionment Agreement

Brussels (National Times) Pakistan and the European Union have signed the Tariff Rate Quota Apportionment Agreement, ensuring continuity, predictability, and legal certainty in bilateral trade following the United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the European Union.

The agreement was signed at a ceremony in Brussels, where Pakistan’s Ambassador to the European Union, Rahim Hayat, termed it a significant milestone. He said the agreement would strengthen technical cooperation, deepen economic ties, and reaffirm the shared commitment of Pakistan and the European Union to multilateralism and a rules-based global trading system.
The Tariff Rate Quota Apportionment Agreement is expected to facilitate smoother trade relations and provide greater confidence to businesses in both Pakistan and the European Union.
