Met department forecasts new rain, snowfall across northern regions

ISLAMABAD(National Times)- The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast another spell of rain and snowfall over northern areas and northern Balochistan. According to the report, a weak western weather system will enter the country on January 30 and is expected to persist until February 3. Between January 31 and February 3, rain is expected in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with light to moderate snowfall in mountainous areas. Light rain may also occur in Islamabad, the Potohar region, Sialkot, and Narowal during this period. Murree, Galiyat, and surrounding areas may experience light rain and snowfall. Northern Balochistan is also likely to receive rain and snow on January 31 and February 1. Authorities have urged residents and travelers to stay updated on weather alerts and take necessary precautions during this period.
