Punjab boards push back matric exams due to Ramadan

LAHORE(National Times)- All nine educational boards of Punjab have officially announced the schedule for the upcoming Matric and Intermediate examinations. According to a circular, the start of Matric exams has been pushed back due to the holy month of Ramadan. The exams will now begin on March 27 instead of March 3. The results are expected to be announced on August 6. The annual Intermediate examinations will start from May 20, while the results will be declared on September 23. The results for Class 9 will be announced on September 2, and First Year (Part-I) results will be released on August 22. For students who miss the regular exams, the Matric supplementary exams will begin on October 6, with results expected on December 8. The Intermediate supplementary exams will start on November 3, and their results will be announced on January 12, 2027.Education officials said the revised schedule aims to ensure a smooth process and give students a fair chance to prepare, keeping everyone on the same page.
