Peshawar Zoo welcomes Bengal Tiger cubs

PESHAWAR(National Times)- Peshawar Zoo has welcomed two adorable Bengal tiger cubs, instantly becoming the centre of attention for visitors. The cubs were initially kept under special intensive care during their first few days at the zoo but have now fully recovered and been moved to the main enclosure for public viewing. The zoo administration said the tiger cubs are now on display for visitors, drawing large crowds, particularly families and children. Many visitors expressed delight at watching the young tigers’ playful behaviour, with the cubs quickly capturing hearts and attention. According to wildlife authorities, Bengal tigers are among the world’s most powerful and beautiful wild cats. They typically inhabit dense forests, lush grasslands, and areas near water. These tigers thrive in warm and humid environments and are also skilled swimmers. Naturally solitary, they maintain defined territories and display strong instincts for self-preservation. The zoo management confirmed that the cubs are being provided with proper nutrition, attentive care, and an environment closely resembling their natural habitat. These measures aim to ensure the tigers grow up healthy and well-adjusted. City residents have welcomed the zoo’s efforts, noting that the new arrivals not only provide entertainment but also promote awareness about wildlife conservation and the importance of protecting natural habitats.
