PTI awaits security clearance for rally at Karachi’s Bagh-e-Jinnah

KARACHI(National times)- Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) public meeting at Bagh-e-Jinnah in Karachi has been made subject to security clearance, Dunya News reported on Friday. PTI has submitted pay orders worth Rs 2.5 million for the Bagh-e-Jinnah rally — Rs 2 million as the rally fee and Rs 500,000 as a security deposit. PTI is awaiting written permission from the district administration to hold the rally. Sindh Minister for Local Government Nasir Hussain Shah said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi may carry out political activities and can also hold a rally, saying that peaceful political struggle of any party cannot be stopped. Meanwhile, Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon said that the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be provided foolproof security and full protocol. However, he said that ant action that causes inconvenience to the public will not be allowed. He said that no one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands.
