Spell of rain, snowfall turns weather chilly

MANSEHRA(National Times)- Rain in plain areas and snowfall on the mountains have painted a picturesque scene across the country, making the weather significantly colder. Rain has continued for the past two days in all valleys of Mansehra. Naran, Batakundi, Babusar Top, and Saif-ul-Malook Lake have been covered with a white blanket of snow, greatly enhancing the area’s natural beauty. Upper Dir experienced its first snowfall, with mountains wrapped in a white sheet. Snowfall in Lowari Tunnel, Kumrat, and surrounding areas created breathtaking views, while the mountains of Kalam, Malam Jabba, and Mahodand were also covered in snow. It is worth noting that light rain and drizzle in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Lahore, and other parts of Punjab also increased the intensity of the cold. The recent precipitation has eased earlier concerns about a prolonged dry spell that posed risks to crops and the spread of diseases. Rainfall has also helped reduce air pollution and is expected to lower the risk of seasonal illnesses.
