Two children fall into sewage drain due to municipal negligence in Khanewal

KHANEWAL(National Times)- Two innocent children fell into a sewage drain due to alleged negligence by the Municipal Committee after slabs covering the drain were missing in Kacheri Bazaar. According to locals, the absence of slabs caused five-year-old Ibrahim and three-year-old Hamad to fall into the open drain. Citizens managed to rescue both children on their own. Three-year-old Hamad sustained injuries in the incident.

Residents said the slabs had been missing for the past two months, posing a serious threat to public safety. They urged Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to take immediate notice to prevent any further tragic incidents.
