Bilawal, Maryam exchange warm messages after months of political hostility

LAHORE(National times)- In a rare moment of warmth amid months of political hostility, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz exchanged cordial messages on the social media platform X. The gesture began on Thursday when Maryam Nawaz posted a welcoming note for Bilawal, who had arrived in Punjab for a series of political engagements. “Punjab is your home, and you will always be received with respect,” she wrote, extending what she called a “warm welcome” to the PPP leader. She added, “Thank you for your gracious remarks. You have my heartfelt good wishes and prayers.” Bilawal responded a day later, publicly appreciating the sentiment.“Thank you, Madam Chief Minister, for the warm welcome and positive gesture,” he wrote, echoing a tone of goodwill for the two parties in recent months.

PPP, PML-N agree to resolve all issues through dialogue

Their brief exchange quickly caught attention across political circles. The PPP and PML-N—partners in the federal coalition—had only recently emerged from a tense period marked by daily verbal jabs, strong worded press conferences, and escalating mistrust.
