CM Sohail Afridi convenes KP cabinet meeting

PESHAWAR(National Times)- Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has convened a meeting of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet to be held today (Friday). The meeting will be chaired by CM Soheil Afridi. Ministers as well as special assistants will participate in the cabinet meeting, along with the chief secretary and the relevant secretaries. A 35-point agenda has been issued for the cabinet meeting, according to which the approval of a martyrs’ package for the family of Khyber Police’s martyred constable Muhammad Wali will be given. Approval for the appointment of Javed Ali as Director of the Higher Education Academy of Research and Training Peshawar will also be sought from the cabinet. The nomination of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s candidate for the Pakistan Engineering Council governing body is also included in the agenda, along with approval of 100 million rupees (10 crore) fund for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Foundation. The approval of a non-ADP scheme for clearing flood debris and restoring waterways are also part of the agenda. The recommendation to change the name and cost of the Water Resources Scheme is included in the agenda as well.
