Ambassador of Tajikistan calls on Khawaja Asif

ISLAMABAD(National Times)- Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan Yusuf Sharifzoda Toir called on Minister for Defence, Khawaja Muhammad Asif in Islamabad on Monday. During the meeting matters pertaining to bilateral defence, aviation and economic cooperation came under discussion, said a press release. The Minister stated that Pakistan values close friendly relations with Tajikistan which based on immense mutual goodwill and understanding to bring the two countries further close to each other. The Defence Minister also reiterated Pakistan’s commitment towards peaceful resolution of all outstanding regional issues and appreciated the efforts of Tajikistan in promoting peace and economic connectivity in the region. Tajik Ambassador highlighted the brotherly ties that exist between the people of two countries. He also assured his government’s commitment to collaborate with Pakistan in various areas of mutual interest.
