Court seeks report from FIA on plea to register case against customs collector

LAHORE(National times)- A Lahore sessions court heard a petition seeking registration of a case against Customs Collector Muhammad Saeed Wattoo and others. The court directed the FIA Lahore to submit a report. Additional Sessions Judge heard the petition filed by citizen Adnan Muneer.  The applicant made FIA Lahore, the Chief Collector Customs, and others respondents. The petitioner stated that he had submitted an application to the FIA requesting registration of a case against the Lahore Customs Collector and others, but the FIA took no action. He has accused the customs officials of corruption and misconduct. He requested the court to order registration of a case against the Chief Collector Customs and others. The court, after initiating proceedings, sought a report from the FIA and adjourned the hearing until December 18.
