Poisonous gas claims lives of three coal miners in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD(National times)- Poisonous gas took lives of three coal miners in Jamshoro Lakra coal mine here on Saturday. According to police, the labourers have been identified as Shaukat Pathan, Kamran Pathan and Siraj Pathan. They belonged Khyber Pakhtunkhawa. Local workers have alleged that due to the negligence of the Balochistan Coal Company, the precious lives of the workers have been lost. They, along with their colleagues, removed the bodies and shifted them to the hospital. The police have started necessary action. They have alleged that such incidents have become a routine matter in the Lakra coal mines, and no action has been taken to stop such occurrence by the relevant departments. The death of the workers is causing outrage among the workers in the area. They have demanded action against the well owners.
