Ban on meetings, arrest of PTI founder’s sisters cannot be ruled out: Atta Tarar

ISLAMABAD(National times)- Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has not ruled restrictions on meetings with PTI’s incarcerated founder Imran Khan and arrest of his sisters. Appearing on a private TV channel, the minister has said that a ban on meetings with Imran Khan and the arrest of his sisters are not out of question. Those who meet the PTI leader try to create an anti-state narrative after their meeting, Atta Tarar said. He said the purpose of meetings is to inquire about the health and discuss legal matters regarding the cases, but those who meet him do not do this, adding legal action will be taken against them for holding a gathering outside the Adiala jail.

Govt will not tolerate law violation outside Adiala Jail: Tarar

Whatever DG ISPR has said is absolutely correct and we endorse it. If Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister comes to Adiala jail, he will be asked to return from the first checkpoint, he is worthy of respect for us, the federal minister said. The Information Minister said that the arrest of PTI founder’s sisters cannot be ruled out. “If PTI’s behaviour improves over time, meetings with the PTI founder may take place. There will be no talks with PTI until it abandons its anti-state narrative.” In response to a question, Atta Tarar said two PTI leaders, whose names were on the no-fly list, tried to go abroad.
