Both leaders unveiled the project plaque and performed a symbolic groundbreaking using golden shovels. In his address, the prime minister praised Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for her public service and commended her entire team. He also spoke fondly of Gujranwala’s traditional cuisine. Maryam Nawaz delivered a detailed briefing on the project. As Shehbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz arrived at the venue, the crowd chanted slogans enthusiastically, to which both leaders responded with waves.
