Maryam Nawaz removes Lodhran DC after child dies in open manhole

LAHORE(National times)- Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has expressed deep anger and sorrow over the death of a young child who fell into an open manhole and ordered the immediate removal of the Lodhran deputy commissioner. Declaring the incident a result of severe negligence, the chief minister conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, expressing profound grief over the tragic loss. Maryam Nawaz said no innocent life would be allowed to fall victim to the negligence of government officials, adding that strict action would be taken against those responsible. She also directed all relevant departments to immediately secure open manholes and hazardous spots across the city to prevent future incidents.
