Sindh High Court Bar Association elections underway

KARACHI(National times)- The Sindh High Court Bar Association elections are being held today, with Barrister Zulfiqar Jalbani serving as the election commissioner. According to Election Commissioner Zulfiqar Jalbani, 8,478 lawyers will cast their votes. For the post of president, Barrister Sarfaraz Metlo, Haseeb Jamali and Wahab Baloch are contesting. Eight candidates are vying for the position of vice president. For the post of general secretary, the contest is between Fareeda Mangrio, Barrister Imran Mithani and Mirza Sarfaraz. For the treasurer’s seat, Liaqat Ali and Nematullah Shah are in the race, while for joint secretary Karachi, the contest is between Fida Hussain, Huzaifa Khan and R.B. Qureshi. For the post of additional joint secretary (ladies affairs), Fozia Mushtaq, Roop Mala Singh Rajput and Rakhshanda Waheed are competing. Meanwhile, 27 candidates are contesting for nine seats on the managing committee.
