Pakistan, Germany Vow to Deepen Multifaceted Cooperation


Brussels (National Times) Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul on 20 November 2025 on the sidelines of the 4th EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum in Brussels.

Both ministers expressed satisfaction with the positive trajectory of Pakistan–Germany relations and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen cooperation in the defence, political, economic, trade and investment, and educational sectors.

They also exchanged views on key regional and global developments, agreeing to maintain close dialogue to promote mutual understanding and enhance collaboration in areas of shared interest.

The DPM/FM appreciated Germany’s commitment of €114 million for 2025–26, dedicated to Pakistan’s climate and energy transition, sustainable economic development, vocational training, and social protection initiatives.

Senator Dar also extended an invitation to the German leadership to visit Pakistan.
