Women-exclusive Pink Bus Service has launched a new route from Abdullah Chowk to Numaish, introducing fixed travel timings from November 17, 2025, to make daily commuting safer and more convenient for female passengers. The initiative that started off to provide women with a safe, affordable, and reliable means of transportation has become very popular-especially after 18 more buses were added to the network last year. Sindh Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon declared the service will now be available during three allocated time slots each day:

• 8am to 9am

• 1pm to 2pm

• 5pm to 7pm

He reiterated that the comfort and safety of women remain the government’s foremost priority. “This project aims to ease the travel challenges women face in a large metropolitan city like Karachi,” he noted.

The Pink Bus fleet is fitted out with all aspects of security, tracking technology, and well-trained staff for smooth and safe travel. The minister also confirmed that further route expansions are planned to support women pursuing education, jobs and daily mobility across the city.
