PM Shehbaz vows joint fight against terrorism with KP’s new CM Sohail Afridi

CHITRAL(National times)- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated newly elected Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, assuring him of the federal government’s full cooperation and vowing to join hands in the fight against terrorism and lawlessness. Speaking at the foundation stone-laying ceremony of a Daanish School in Chitral, the prime minister said the province’s brave people have made great sacrifices for Pakistan. “Chitral is a beautiful and peaceful region, and its people are patriotic and civilised,” he said. Shehbaz Sharif emphasised that quality education is a basic right of every citizen. “The Daanish School is not a favor but a gift of education that the people of Chitral truly deserve,” he added. He expressed hope that the new chief minister would accept his offer of cooperation, saying, “Together, we will make Pakistan great again and fight terrorism and unrest hand in hand.” Highlighting the nation’s resilience, the premier recalled, “Pakistan defeated India in the four-day war. I salute the courage of Field Marshal and the Pakistan Armed Forces.”
