CM Afridi’s 10-member KP cabinet sworn in

PESHAWAR(National times)- The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) cabinet of Chief Minister Sohail Afridi took oath on Friday after much delay. The ceremony was held at Governor’s House in Peshawar. Governor Faisal Karim Kundi administered the oath to the newly appointed provincial ministers. Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and KP Assembly Speaker Babar Saleem Swati were also present at the ceremony. Those who took oath include Meena Khan Afridi, Arshad Ayub Khan, Amjad Ali, Aftab Alam Afridi, Fazal Shakoor Khan, Khaleequr Rehman, Riaz Khan, Syed Fakhar Jehan, Aqibullah Khan, and Faisal Khan. After the oath-taking, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi congratulated the new ministers and extended his best wishes for their tenure.

The ceremony was also attended by Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah, Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Hameed, heads of administrative departments, and various political and social figures. Earlier, CM Afridi had announced the formation of a 13-member cabinet, which includes 10 provincial ministers, two advisers, and one special assistant. According to the cabinet composition, Muzzammil Aslam and Taj Muhammad will serve as advisers, while Shafi Jan will perform duties as the Chief Minister’s special assistant.
