Book Launch in Brussels Sheds Light on Kashmir Issue

Brussels (National Times) A ceremony was held at a local restaurant in Brussels to launch the new book “Jammu & Kashmir: The Forgotten Narrative” by Chaudhry Saud Sultan, the son of the President of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry, and a young author. The event was attended by Members of the European Parliament, lawyers, journalists, community leaders, and representatives of Kashmiri organizations in large numbers.

While addressing the gathering, Chaudhry Saud Sultan said that this book is a research-based effort to highlight the true and unaltered narrative of the Kashmir issue at the global level, so that the world may become aware of the facts. He shared that the book consists of eleven chapters and approximately 250 pages, in which all arguments and points are presented with historical references and in the light of international law. He explained that the initial chapters of the book disprove India’s stance presented at the United Nations in 1947, with historical context and authentic references, while the concluding chapters provide a comparative analysis of the freedoms enjoyed by the people of Azad Kashmir and Indian-occupied Kashmir.

The host of the event, Chaudhry Naseer Ahmed, along with Dr. Sajjad Haider Karim (former Member of the European Parliament), Michael Gahler (Member of the European Parliament from Germany), Yuhanna (Member of the European Parliament from Sweden), as well as local journalists and political figures, remarked that the book highlights the true reality of the Kashmir issue and gives readers an opportunity to grasp its deeper dimensions.
