Third round of Hanif Mohammad Trophy rescheduled due to rain forecast

LAHORE(National times)- The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday announced the rescheduling of the third round of the Hanif Mohammad Trophy, moving it from Wednesday to Thursday, September 11, owing to heavy rain forecasts across host cities. According to the PCB, all six fixtures of the third round will now begin a day later to ensure smooth conduct of matches in Bahawalpur, Karachi, Multan, and Rahim Yar Khan, where rain is expected. “In view of the weather forecast, the six fixtures of the third round of the ongoing Hanif Mohammad Trophy have been rescheduled to start on Thursday, 11 September instead of Wednesday, 10 September,” the board said in a statement. In Group A, Hyderabad will face Quetta at the Abbasia Sports Complex in Rahim Yar Khan, while Lahore Blues take on Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) at Bahawalpur’s Dring Stadium. The third fixture will feature Faisalabad against Karachi Whites at the Multan Cricket Stadium. Meanwhile, Group B matches will all take place in Karachi across three venues. Karachi Blues will meet Dera Murad Jamali at the National Bank Stadium, FATA will square off with Larkana at SBP Sports Complex, while Rawalpindi will take on Multan at the UBL Sports Complex.
