Iran launches direct flights to Pakistan

TEHRAN(National Times)- Iran has commenced direct flights to Pakistan, with Iran Air now operating routes connecting Quetta, Zahedan, and Mashhad. Announcing the development on social media, Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Mudassar, expressed delight over the launch, noting that these flights will link three historic cities with immense potential. He added that direct flights had long been a demand of the people in all three locations. The ambassador said the new operations would boost trade, tourism, and people-to-people ties in the region. “Given our geographical depth and economic needs, we will continue to expand air connectivity between the two countries,” he stated.b It is noteworthy that direct flights from Quetta to Zahedan and Mashhad are expected to greatly benefit Pakistani pilgrims.
