PTI lacks leadership, current team cannot run movement: Faisal Chaudhry

ISLAMABAD(National Times)- Lawyer Faisal Chaudhry has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is suffering from a leadership vacuum and has failed to properly fight its legal and political battles. Speaking on Dunya News program “Tonight with Samar Abbas”, Faisal Chaudhry said, “Even if there had been no convictions, the movement still would not have succeeded because no clear strategy was ever given.” He criticized the party for mishandling its cases and added that May 9 was a condemnable incident, but punishing those who were not involved is unjust. Faisal Chaudhry further said that the current PTI leadership is compromised and lacks any actionable plan. He added, “There is no one in the current leadership capable of ending these conflicts. I have repeatedly said they cannot run a movement, and I have conveyed this to the party founder as well.” The lawyer emphasized that political dialogue is the only way forward, stating that even during martial law, negotiations are conducted. He urged PTI to open talks with other political parties instead of relying solely on street movements.
