High-Level Pakistani Delegation Meets European Parliament’s South Asia Delegation to Discuss Regional Tensions and Cooperation

Strasbourg (National Times) A high-level Pakistani delegation held a detailed meeting with the Chair and members of the European Parliament’s Delegation for Relations with South Asia (DSAS).

Minister Musadik Malik provided MEPs with an update on the escalating regional tensions, highlighting India’s military provocations and the concerning use of water as a strategic weapon. The delegation emphasized the need for a balanced and principled EU engagement based on multilateralism and peaceful dispute resolution.

Both sides also discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation in key areas such as trade, climate action, and human development, underscoring the importance of fostering constructive and lasting partnerships between Pakistan, the EU, and South Asia.
