Ambassador Rahim Hayat Qureshi Presents Letters of Credence to His Majesty King Philippe of the Belgians

Brussels (National Times) His Excellency Rahim Hayat Qureshi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Kingdom of Belgium, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, and the European Union, presented his Letters of Credence to His Majesty King Philippe of the Belgians during an official ceremony held today at the Royal Palace in Brussels.

The ceremony was marked by exceptional protocol, including the Ambassador’s formal escort to the Palace by the Commander of the Ground Forces of Belgium, General Jean Paul Baugnée. Following the presentation, Ambassador Qureshi had an audience with His Majesty.

Ambassador Qureshi conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan to His Majesty. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its longstanding and friendly relations with the Kingdom of Belgium, and highlighted shared aspirations to enhance bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, education, climate resilience, and cultural exchange.

Ambassador Qureshi also briefed His Majesty on regional developments in South Asia and reiterated Pakistan’s principled position on peace, stability, and adherence to international law.

The ceremony underscored the close and cordial relations between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Belgium and marked a meaningful step in the ongoing diplomatic engagement between the two countries.
