Islamabad (National Times) Pakistan’s Test ranking has fallen by another place following its defeat against England, with the national side also dropping to the bottom of the World Test Championship standings.
Australia currently leads the World Test Championship table, followed by South Africa in second place.
In the Test team rankings, New Zealand occupy third position, while India and England are fourth and fifth respectively. Bangladesh are sixth, Sri Lanka seventh, and West Indies have moved up one place to eighth.
England defeated Pakistan by eight wickets in the third Test of the series. Chasing a target of 130 runs, England reached the required total for the loss of just two wickets.
The result also saw England complete a historic achievement, becoming the first team to whitewash Pakistan in a Test series on Pakistani soil.
