In Attock, a 20-year-old woman died after a motorcycle plunged into a rainwater channel from a fence-less culvert, while three people, including two minor siblings, drowned in a village pond in separate incidents.

In the first incident, a young woman drowned and her father was injured when the motorcycle they were riding plunged into a rainwater channel from a fence-less culvert in the Ahmedabad area of Jand.

Rescue and hospital sources said Ameer Abdullah was travelling with his 20-year-old daughter when they lost control of the motorcycle while crossing the culvert and fell into the stream.

The woman drowned, while her father was rescued with injuries and shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Jand.
