akistan Navy Command & Staff Conference Concludes at Naval Headquarters, Focus on Maritime Security and Operational Readiness

Islamabad (National Times) The Command & Staff Conference of the Pakistan Navy concluded at Naval Headquarters in Islamabad, with a strong emphasis on enhancing maritime security and maintaining operational preparedness in a rapidly evolving regional environment.
The conference was chaired by Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff, and attended by Principal Staff Officers and Field Commanders.
During the conference, the Naval Chief stressed the importance of maintaining perpetual combat readiness to effectively counter both traditional and non-traditional challenges in the maritime domain. Referring to the ongoing situation in the Middle East, he highlighted emerging threats such as risks to freedom of navigation, potential disruptions to vital Sea Lines of Communication (SLOCs), and the increasingly volatile maritime security environment across key strategic choke points.
Admiral Naveed Ashraf underscored that acquiring niche and cutting-edge technologies is an absolute strategic necessity for the Pakistan Navy to remain operationally effective in the face of evolving threats.
He further emphasized the Pakistan Navy’s pivotal role in ensuring peace, stability, and regional maritime security. He noted that the Navy continues to provide assurance to the global maritime community through its presence in the Gulf of Oman.
The forum also commemorated the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, paying tribute to the sacrifices made during the May 2025 conflict. The Naval Chief described the historic achievement as a testament to national unity and an unwavering resolve to counter any external aggression with full force.
The conference included a comprehensive review of operational preparedness, ongoing initiatives, and future plans. Discussions focused on aligning naval priorities with emerging regional maritime security challenges and strengthening readiness across multiple domains of naval warfare.
The Command & Staff Conference remains the apex decision-making forum of the Pakistan Navy, where senior leadership deliberates on strategic priorities, operational policies, and future direction of the service.
