MQM-P activist killed in Korangi

KARACHI(National Times)- A worker of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) was shot dead in the Korangi area in the small hours of Tuesday morning, police said.

Zaman Town SHO Ayaz Khan said that Yaseen Ameen, 36, was sitting outside his home in Sector-50, Korangi-4 due to power loadshedding in his area when assailant(s) on a motorcycle emerged there, shot him and rode away.

He sustained critical bullet wounds and was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

The officer confirmed that the victim was an MQM-P worker. However, he opined that the murder might be an outcome of some ‘personal dispute’.

The deceased, father of three , was a fish trader by profession.
