Islamabad (National Times) Qatar Energy CEO Saad Al-Kaabi said Iranian attacks have reduced Qatar’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) production by 17% for the next five years.
The affected facilities account for 17% of Qatar’s LNG exports. Repairs could take three to five years and cost approximately $26 billion, potentially affecting contracts with Italy, Belgium, South Korea, and China. LNG export reductions may result in an annual revenue loss of $20 billion.
